Self Gallery transformed genetic data into a deeply personal and emotionally resonant art experience. The core challenge was to forge a meaningful connection between ancestry and identity, moving beyond cold data to create a sense of belonging. We achieved this by creatively leveraging DNA data to curate bespoke virtual galleries. The key innovation was that the proportion of artists from different ancestral backgrounds directly reflected the user's unique genetic makeup.
